Vegan Organic Olive Squalene Skincare
Our Squalene is derived from the Olive, which is of highest quality and the ultimate hero ingredient in all of our skin care - it's nourishing properties are exceptional. Olive sourced Squalene is far superior in all ways than the sugarcane-originated Squalene.
Squalene, a natural isoprenoid super-antioxidant, is the key to supreme hydration, skin cell regeneration, and protection against premature ageing, UV, and free radicals.
It naturally nourishes and promotes the healing of skin conditions such as eczema, dermatitis and psoriasis. It's also antibacterial and perfect for use before and after surgical procedures to support the skin in regeneration of a healthy dermis.
Our skin naturally has approximately 12 % Squalene naturally present as a part of our natural defences to our environment. Going back to the very beginning of life on our planet where single celled organisms had extremely high levels of Squalene in their biology to protect them from the harshness of the environment they were surviving in then. Algaes such as Spirulina still have naturally high levels of Squalene present in their biology. Squalene is a part of our natural dermal defence system!
Squalene in Mayella Skincare helps to lock in moisture and prevent TEWL - trans-epidermal moisture loss, where water passively evaporates through the skin and into the air. Locking in moisture helps to maintain a dewy, plump, moist skin with fewer wrinkles and lines present.
