Gua Sha is an ancient healing practice in the art of massage and pressure points for skin health, skin tone and vitality of the facial muscles, bone structure and nerves. Stimulating these tissues helps to reduce puffiness, stagnancy, dark circles, wrinkles and fine lines to maintain a bright complexion.

Gua Shas are carved with love and craftsmanship. They are all heart-shaped meaning you are massaging and supporting the skin with love.

How to use

Gua Sha hearts are perfectly shaped to contour and stimulate around the face. Sweep across the brow bone, cheekbones, jawline and in and around the nostrils draining down and around the mouth corners to the centre of the chin - then draining out from the centre of the chin above, across and below the jawline with the top of the Gua Sha's heart.

Use the bottom point of the Gua Sha heart to gently, firmly press in an acupressure point of the centre of the upper lip - in the crease, it will feel slightly sensitive when you are on it, to stimulate the metabolism. No longer than 3 secs is suitable.

Tip: Wrap your Gua Sha in a Mayella Fibre Cloth and place it in the fridge for 20-30 mins to cool down and give a “cryo” facial to revitalise and invigorate tired skin. This cooling effect can also help to effectively reduce dark circles and puffy eyes. You can eventually switch to placing it in the freezer as you and your skin get comfortable with the technique.

Likewise, placing your Gua Sha in warm water then rolling over your favourite Mayella Serum, Lotion or Repair Serum helps to more deeply infuse the serum into the skin.

Care

Clean by rinsing under warm water and leave on a soft towel or cloth to air dry in a safe place.

No need to use soaps or detergents, but if you do feel the need to rinse any product from your Gua Sha with something stronger than warm water, please use an earth-friendly, non-chemical, gentle detergent or soap.

As with your crystals and gemstones, place your Gua Sha out under a full moon to energetically cleanse your crystal.
